Expert Agreement

This document has been prepared with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and general Indian consumer protection principles as understood at the time of drafting. It is provided to assist HappinessCue's operations and has been prepared by an AI system, not a licensed advocate. It should be reviewed and formally approved by a qualified Indian lawyer before public launch, and periodically thereafter as law and platform features evolve.

This Expert Agreement supplements our Terms of Use and applies specifically to your participation on HappinessCue as an Expert offering guidance sessions to Clients. In the event of any conflict between this Agreement and the Terms of Use on matters specific to Experts, this Agreement shall prevail.

1. Your Status

You participate on HappinessCue as an independent professional, not as an employee, agent, partner, or representative of CareerBricks Learning Solutions. You are solely responsible for the guidance, advice, and conduct you provide during sessions booked through the Platform.

2. Verification and Accuracy of Information

You agree that all information, qualifications, certifications, and identity documents you submit during registration and verification are accurate, current, and genuinely yours. Providing false or misleading information is a serious violation of this Agreement and may result in immediate suspension, removal from the Platform, and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities.

3. Scope of Guidance

You agree to provide non-medical, non-clinical guidance only, consistent with the category and subjects listed on your profile. If a Client's concern falls outside your expertise or appears to require medical, psychiatric, or emergency intervention, you must not attempt to provide such intervention yourself, and should direct the Client to appropriate resources, including our Safety & Crisis Support Notice, and encourage them to seek qualified professional help.

4. Session Conduct

  • You agree to conduct sessions professionally, punctually, and in accordance with the session type (video/audio) and duration booked by the Client.
  • You agree not to record sessions without the Client's explicit consent, and not to share Client information outside the legitimate purpose of providing the booked guidance.
  • You agree to submit session notes where required by the Platform, within the applicable time window shown in your dashboard.

5. Fees and Payment

You are responsible for setting your session pricing within any parameters set by HappinessCue. Once payment processing is live, payouts to Experts will be processed according to the payout schedule and terms communicated to you separately, which may include a retention period following session completion to allow for the review and dispute-resolution process described in our Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

6. Ratings You Receive and Ratings You Provide

Clients may rate and review you following a completed session; these reviews, once published, are visible on your public profile. You may post one public response per review. You will also be asked to privately rate certain aspects of Client conduct — these ratings are never shown to the Client and are used internally by HappinessCue for platform-integrity purposes.

7. Profile and Content

Content you submit to your profile (bio, tagline, FAQs, achievements, articles) must be accurate and must not infringe the rights of any third party. You grant HappinessCue a licence to display this content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.

8. Premium Membership

If you subscribe to a Premium Expert membership, the benefits available to you (such as enhanced visibility or a custom profile URL) are described on our Premium Plans Terms of Use page and may be updated by HappinessCue from time to time. Premium status is a paid convenience tier and does not affect, and must not be represented by you as affecting, the genuineness of your reviews or verification status.

9. Suspension and Termination

HappinessCue may suspend or remove your profile for violations of this Agreement, our Terms of Use, or our Community Guidelines & Code of Conduct, including for a pattern of cancellations, no-shows, verified client complaints, or providing guidance outside the non-medical scope described in Section 3.
