Terms of Use
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HappinessCue website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Platform"), operated by CareerBricks Learning Solutions ("CareerBricks", "HappinessCue", "we", "us"). By registering for, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Nature of the Platform
HappinessCue is a guidance and discovery platform only. It is not a medical, psychiatric, or clinical treatment provider, and does not offer emergency or crisis intervention services.
HappinessCue enables independent Experts to offer non-medical guidance sessions to Clients across career, academic, emotional wellness, and holistic development topics, and facilitates discovery, booking, scheduling, and delivery of such sessions. Experts are independent professionals, not employees or agents of CareerBricks. CareerBricks reviews Expert applications before approval but does not guarantee the outcome, accuracy, or suitability of any advice given during a session, and is not a party to the guidance relationship between a Client and an Expert.
If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, or having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, please refer immediately to our Safety & Crisis Support Notice and contact emergency services — do not rely on the Platform for emergency support.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register as a Client or Expert on the Platform, unless otherwise permitted under a parental/guardian-consent mechanism we may introduce in the future.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, and to keep it updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Experts must complete our verification process, including submission of identity proof and relevant qualifications, before their profile becomes publicly visible or bookable.
Age Verification and Guardian Consent

HappinessCue requires users to meet a minimum age to register directly. Where a prospective user is below this age, an account may instead be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian on the minor's behalf. In such cases, the platform may request the guardian to confirm their consent and, where required, to submit identity or consent documentation for administrative review. Access is granted only after this review is complete. HappinessCue may also apply a maximum age threshold for registration, at its discretion. These thresholds and requirements may be updated by HappinessCue from time to time.
4. Bookings, Sessions, and Cancellations
Clients may book sessions with approved, verified Experts through the Platform, subject to the Expert's stated availability and pricing. Session confirmation, rescheduling, and cancellation are governed by this section and by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- Bookings must be made through the Platform. Sessions arranged directly outside the Platform after an initial connection made through HappinessCue are outside the scope of our protections and support.
- Cancellation windows, applicable fees, and refund eligibility are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy and may be updated from time to time.
- Sessions are delivered via the Platform's own video/audio session technology. Recording of sessions by either party without the explicit consent of the other party is not permitted.
5. Verification, Not Endorsement
Approval of an Expert profile on HappinessCue reflects that the Expert has submitted identity and qualification documents which were reviewed as part of our onboarding process. It is not a certification, guarantee, or endorsement by CareerBricks of the Expert's advice, methods, or outcomes. Clients are encouraged to exercise their own judgment when selecting an Expert and engaging with their guidance.
6. Reviews and Ratings
Clients may submit reviews and ratings for Experts following a completed session. Reviews must reflect a genuine session experience and must not contain unlawful, defamatory, or abusive content. We reserve the right to hide or remove reviews that violate this requirement, with reasons logged internally, in accordance with our content moderation practices under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
7. Premium Memberships
HappinessCue may offer optional premium membership plans to Clients and Experts, providing additional features such as enhanced visibility, priority support, or advanced tools, as described on our Premium Plans page at the time of subscription. Premium membership reflects a paid service tier and convenience benefits only — it does not affect, and must not be understood as affecting, the accuracy of any Expert's reviews, ratings, or verification status.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false information during registration or verification.
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, threaten, or abuse another user.
- Attempt to circumvent the Platform's booking, payment, or verification systems.
- Upload content that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
- Misuse the review system, including by submitting fake reviews or manipulating ratings.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, following the process described in our Community Guidelines & Code of Conduct.
9. Intellectual Property
The HappinessCue name, logo, platform design, and underlying technology are the property of CareerBricks Learning Solutions and may not be used without our prior written consent. Content submitted by Experts (such as bios, articles, and FAQs) remains their own intellectual property, subject to a licence granted to HappinessCue to display it on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, CareerBricks Learning Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, or from the conduct, advice, or actions of any Expert or Client. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including in relation to fraud or wilful misconduct.
11. Grievance Redressal
In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, grievances relating to the Platform may be addressed to our Grievance Officer:

Complaints will be acknowledged within 24 hours and, save in exceptional circumstances, resolved within 15 days of receipt.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer-forum rights available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the courts at Gurugram, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users through the Platform or by email, and continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
