You can change either your email or your mobile number yourself from your Account Security page, whether you're a Client or an Expert — it's the exact same process either way.
Why it's a two-step process
To make sure nobody can hijack your account by simply guessing or requesting a change, we verify both ends: first, we confirm you still control your current email/mobile, then we confirm you control the new one. Only once both are verified does the change actually take effect.
What to expect
- Request the change and confirm you still have access to your current email or mobile (via a link or a one-time code).
- Once that's confirmed, we send a verification code or link to the new email/mobile you're switching to.
- Confirm that, and the change is complete — your login and account records update immediately.
How often you can do this
There's a cooldown period between changes (currently 30 days, admin-configurable) — this is a light anti-abuse measure, not a punishment; most people never hit it.
If this feature isn't available on your current plan, you'll see that clearly on the page rather than a confusing error.
